Day 1 Full Body Detox

Well this morning, I got up quite excited about beginning this detox. I was so ready to start because I really want to get off these steroids and be free of asthma. I have suffered with asthma since i was 2 years old and I am now 35. Yes, do the math, that is a looong time. Anyway, I started off my morning, with the first set of capsules at 7am. there are 6 sets of capsule you have to take. This detox from www.dherbs.com cleans every part of the body. It cleans the blood and lymphatic system, cardiovascualr sister, liver, gallbladder and spleen, lungs and respiratory system, kidneys, bladder and adrenals system, and the colon and digestive tract. so here is a formula for each of those systems.

I bought a Jack Lalanne juicer from Target in Florida to help me get into juicing. Well this morning I was too excited when I juiced apples, carrots, and celery and saw that it tasted soso good. Yippee!!! lol . So for breakfast I had my juice, banana, for lunch i had a nice salad made of lettuce, green/red bell peppers, and the pulp of the carrots from the juicer. It was good. I am looking forward to making more interesting salads as time moves. on. Throughout the day, i snacked on figs and almonds and drank plenty, plenty plenty of water. It is recommended that one should ddrink distilled and alkaline water with the detox. I have to locate those so until them I am drinking my Virgin H2O. It is recommended that you drink half your weight in ounces. I love water.

After work, I and a few of my H.S classmates walked from vendors plaza to the airport. It was a GREAT walk! I ended my night with a nice cool shower and a homemade strawberry/banana smoothie. Delicious! Feeling great-Day 1 done, 19 more days to go.

Peace and blessings.

Full Body Detox

After having one too many asthma attack and having to use steroids (prednosone) to control the asthma, I decided enough is enough. I notice when I was eating clean, I was never sick and I had more energy. I made a conscious decision to get back on track but before I do that, I needed to do some sort of cleansing. During my research, I came across the website www.dherbs.com. This website is full of so much wealth about being healthy naturally. I saw that they had a full body detox program that should be completed in twenty days. The researcher in me of course scrutinized the products, testimonials etc. I finally bought the products the first week of July. Along with the products, it is best to eat raw. No , not raw meat etc..actually you have to refrain from eating any flesh and your meals should consists of fruits, veggies, nuts, etc. The food eaten should be in its natural form. Today, July 13, is the first day of this detox.

I am back

Hello to all. It is April 25, 2011. I have not been on my blog for sooooooo long, actually too long. Well the last time I posted I spoke about my weightloss etc. Well I am still at it but of course I gained all the weight back and then some since I lasted posed. However, I am back on my grind. My goal is to lose 100 pounds by my 36th birthday. I started working out in the gym last july and by january 2011 I only lost two pounds. I can only blame myself because of my nutrition. My trainer's goal was for me to lose 70 pounds instead of a 100. I will see how far my body can go but no more than 100 pounds. I am currently following the Turbofire fitness program which I workout 6 days a week. I am loving it. i am addicted. I am in the fifth week and i have seen inches are gone but now i have to up the ante with my nutrition. Looking forward to actually keeping up this blog and keeping you guys updated on my progress. Be bless!!

Out of the 250s

Its been a long time since I have updated this page. I am very happy to say that I am now 245 pounds. I have 13 more pounds to go to make it 33 pounds by my birthday. I am really looking forward to celebrating this goal. I am doing well with working out. I walk every morning between 4 and 4:30 am. I walk for 3.5 miles. On the weekends I walk 6 miles. just this week, I started walking the tramway route, up to paradise point. It is tough but you feel great after you are done. Those hills really work you out. I am just preparing myself for 8 tuff miles in st. john on saturday. All i want is to cross that finish line and to get my t-shirt. My walking partner carol and I are still going strong. I am confident that this is the last year for me to go up and down with my weight . Around this time last year I was on the same track and made it all the way down to 240 pounds. Therefore, this year I hope to surpass that point and to keep the weight off. Thanks to everyone for all of their support.

I made it

Its been awhile since I have updated this page. I have been working out seven days a week. My friends carol and lester are keeping me motivated. It feels great after I am finished though. This weekend I had the pleasure of participating in the 'Women's Jogger Jam. it was a 2 mile walk or run. I was so happy to be part of the Kean challenge team and to share this time with my friend carol and her daughter kinisha. I finished the couse in 31 mins. 32 seconds. I was a bit winded after the first round. I believe it was due to fatigue. I walked earlier that morning at 5am, a 6 mile course, came home did laundry and other housekeeping things so I did not get any rest at all. It felt good to jog across that finish line and get my tshirt..lol. Anyway, i think i like this walk/run competition thing. Iam going to try and participate in more of them. I am looking to sign up for karate classes also. until next time be good, live healthy and love life.

I am out of the 260s.

Well its been a good minute since I have been online. Good news I am out of the 260s as of today, I am now 255. This I have list since is started walking on dec. 26th and changing the way I eat since dec. 22nd. Yaay..Mygoal once again is to lose 33 pounds by my 33rd birthday which is march 15th.

I have been exercising at least 6 days a week. Thanks to my friends lester and Carol I got a new route that is about six miles. This route is goodb ecause it has hills and its like walking an interval course. it sure as heck keeps the heart pumping. The first time I did it I thought I would have died but its becoming easier. I am still doing my regular route during the week though. Thenew route I do on weekends because it takes longer to get done.

I am also still doing the green smoothie challenge. I have missed about two day soI have to add two more days to my schedule. So i am looking at finishing february 1st. I am actually enjoying these smoothies. If you have not tried it you need to. I am now adding papaya. Just the other day, I had a collard greens, banana, grapes, and papaya smoothie, delicious. I cannot get the family into them yet but hey I will keep trying. I actually crave more veggies now. I am enjoying it. My skin is clearing up too.

Of course yesterday we all witnessed a historical moment as Obama was sworn into office. This is something that we can share with our great grandchildren etc. We can also be proud that those of us who have children know that our children witness such an historical moment.

Well I think that is about it for now. Until next time be good.

Update

Well its been a long time because I did not have access to a computer. Well all is going well.

today is the eight day of my 30 day green smoothie challenge. I have beencombining kale, lettuce, watercress, bananas, peaches, nectarines, apricots, avocado, cherries, grapes, raspberries, blackberries in my smoothies. Of course not all at once but in different combinations. I have noticed that my skin is getting smoother and my face is clearing up. I craving more greens now and eating much healthier. I will be posting some pics of my green smoothies as soon as I learn how to upload them on this blog.

tomorrow will be two weeks since i started walking in the mornings. I try to walk at least six days a week.I am enjoyig it.its been a challenge getting up for five am but I've been doing it.

Okay when i first started out this blog, I mentioned that I weighed myself on a scale and it stated it was 270 but i was not sure because the scale was giving me problems. therefore, I decided to go out and purchase another scale. So last tuesday I purchased one and weighed myself wednesday morning. My weight was 265. Well good news. i weight myself this wednesday morning and I am now 260, I am down five pounds. My goal is to lose at least 3 pounds a week. I believe that is safe and healhy enough. I am really excited and trying to make this year the one that I do this once and for all. To help me in this plight I am watching the biggest loser on nbc at 9Pm on tuesdays. The show is very motivating and interesting.

The holidays were great being that I was able to spend quality time with my son and also start my workout program. Nlw i am back to work and back on the grind and just holding. I have also evaluated my life and set goals that will help me get rid of the physical, spiritual, mental and emotional weight out of my life. that is my mantra for this year. At some point in life you get sick and tired of beign sick and tired and you need to stop talking and beginning working on making change. I am excited and looking forward to reinvenging me!!! toodles.
