keeping it moving

Well today was the first day I have been able to exercise since i started on this new journey. I have been attempting to go since monday but it has been raining every mornig.I am a morning person so I like to walk around 5 or so in the morning. Anyway, i did it, I got up and started walking. I walked from tortola wharf to the police station. my goal was to go up to wendy's in havnesight but unfortunately i was being followed by some crazy man and I thought it was best if I turned around. Looks like I am going to have to walk with some protection, lol. I use to walk on the track because there were more people but i just find walking around in circles to become boring after a while. Anyways, I was quite upset after this. My damn routine was disrupted by this fool but i managed to get thirty minutes in.

Well thank God for my friend Lester. He accompanied me on my walk tonight. We walked from my house in polyberg down to tortola wharf, back up to havensight via yacht haven grande and then back up to polyberg. I made it. I was a bit tired but I kept on pushing. The mind is so funny, to me it was nothing during this walk tonight but to be honest during the day, i take it hard to walk from my house to CAHS. I always say, oh the sun is too hot blah blah. oh well enough excuses.

For this week so far, I have cut out night time eaten. I have eaten dinner before 630 pm most nights, 7:30 christmas night. I have also made it my business to drink tea and eat breakfast. I am not a breakfast person but I am making sure I get that done now. Its just been five days but I feel good. I just have to keep this momentum going. I often tend to start off good and then slack off. Anyways, keep me in your prayers and thanks for the support.

oh yeah, starting next monday, I will be going on a green smoothie 30 day challenge. i will be drinking a quart of green smoothie every day. I have learned abou this by reading Victoria Boutenko's book, Green for Life. I bought that book last year and read it but never fully pursued what it said. There are a lot of benefits in incorporating greens in your diet as i am sure everyone knows. Victoria's books focus on the benefits and also includes a study that was done with participants that drank green smoothies. if you have time to read, get the book or do a search on her or green smoothies. These smoothies are typically made of green vegetables and fruit. I started doing it earlier this year after i read the book but that lasted for a very short time. The only combo i did was kale, pears, bananas, and ginger, very delicious. I think this time aroiund I am going to try a variety of combinations but with less fruit. Anyway, that will be a new post.
